Agreement
By using the QR Generator website at qrlite.app or the QR Generator Lite
Android app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use
the service. They are made available by ABLN Technologies.
The codes you make are yours
We claim no ownership of anything you encode, and no ownership of the resulting QR codes. You may use them for anything you like, including commercially — printed on products, in advertising, on signage, in a paid publication. No attribution is required, and there is no watermark.
You are responsible for what you encode and for having the right to encode it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to create codes that:
- lead to malware, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive whoever scans them;
- impersonate another person, business or payment recipient;
- infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
- are unlawful where you are, or where the code will be used.
You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, or to use automated means to place unreasonable load on it or on the third-party services it relies upon — in particular the OpenStreetMap tile and search services used by the map picker, which are provided to us free of charge and shared with everyone else who uses them.
Payment codes deserve particular care
The UPI page builds a payment link from the details you enter. Check them character by character, and test with a small amount before printing or displaying a payment code. A mistyped UPI ID produces a code that works perfectly and sends money to the wrong place, and nothing about that failure is visible until it has happened.
We are not a party to any payment. Money moves between the payer's app and the recipient's bank, and we have no visibility of it and no ability to reverse, refund or trace it. Contact your bank or payment provider for anything to do with a transaction.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind,
express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. In particular, we do
not warrant that every generated code will scan on every device: scanner support varies
by hardware, operating system version and app, and some payload types — the
geo: codes on the location page especially — are known to behave
inconsistently, as that page explains.
Test any code on real devices before printing it at scale. This is the single most useful precaution you can take, and no generator can take it for you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ABLN Technologies will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service — including loss of profit, business or data, the cost of reprinting materials bearing a code, or payments misdirected because of details you entered. The service is free, and this limitation reflects that.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Third-party services
The service relies on Google Firebase and Hosting, on Google Ad Manager within the Android app, and on OpenStreetMap for the map picker. Their own terms govern their services, and we are not responsible for them. Our Privacy Policy describes what each receives.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time without notice. Because codes are generated on your device and contain no link back to us, codes you have already made will keep working even if this site disappears.
We may revise these terms; the date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
